BAKER AVIATION APPOINTS ERIC GREEN TO PART 145 ACCOUNTABLE MANAGER

As a skilled aviation manager and U.S. Navy veteran, Eric Green brings extensive process and quality management expertise to Baker Aviation that includes ASA quality certification processes.

After retiring from the Navy, Eric began working with Recaro Aircraft Seating, as a Quality Inspector for both new production seats and the 145 Repair Station. He also managed the calibration, safety, and training programs.
A few years later, Eric joined Howell Instruments as a Field Engineering Associate and while there, he earned the title of FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative. Eric was also a customer liaison at Howell and coordinated the development and production of new jet engine test equipment and cockpit indicators. In 2013, after 2-years with Luminator as Certification Engineer and Departmental Manager, Eric returned to Howell Instruments as Ground Support Equipment Manager managing a large contract for a US Army GSE RESET program and worked to establish a GSE depot for the JSF. He was responsible for successfully obtaining ASA-100 and AS 9110 certifications for the company.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds a FAA Airframe and Power plant certificate as well as FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative status. He is an SAE/PAMA Aviation Maintenance Engineer and SAE/PAMA Aviation Maintenance Specialist.

As part of receiving their worldwide operations specifications, Baker Aviation participated in a “proving run” with FAA International Inspectors, using the Baker Aviation Falcon 50EX to cross the North Atlantic in September 2016. These specifications now allow Baker Aviation to conduct flight operations around the globe.
The “10 or more” passenger approval allows Baker Aviation to operate aircraft with 10 or more passenger seats. Baker Aviation was granted the “10 or more” authorization when their Embraer Legacy 600 was added to their Part 135 certificate. As part of the approval process, Baker Aviation’s leadership team developed their General Maintenance Manual (GMM), which is a comprehensive manual that includes procedures for maintenance, inspection, quality assurance, recordkeeping, training, airworthiness releases, the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance (CASS) program, and other additional authorization requirements. The procedures are standardized and applicable to all aircraft in Baker’s fleet, in addition to the planes with 10 or more passenger seats.

Fort Worth, Texas (FTW)-Yesterday, Baker Aviation successfully completed the Aviation Research Group/US (ARG/US) two-day audit for our Part 135 Air Carrier Operation. The audit resulted in Baker Aviation being recommended for the Platinum Safety Rating from ARG/US which is the highest safety rating a 135 Charter Operator can receive from an outside auditing firm.

ARG/US is an independent, objective and fact-based auditor of 135 Operators and is the most highly respected in the aviation community. The aspects of the operation covered by the audit included Maintenance, Flight Operations and Charter procedures. After reviewing all of the aforementioned, the auditors concluded that Baker Aviation met the stringent criteria and passed the comprehensive inspection. Out of the nearly 2500 Nationwide Part 135 Operators, only 4%, or 101 companies have achieved the Platinum rating.
