Management Program

Aircraft Management Program

Aircraft management requires a sizeable investment. Office and hangar space, tools and equipment, pilots, maintenance, administrative staff, training, and publications are all necessary items. Consider the advantages of having Baker Aviation managing your aircraft.

24-Hour Dispatch

Baker Aviation provides 24-hour dispatch for all flights in your business aircraft. Your flight coordinator will schedule your aircraft, assign flight and cabin crews, make catering and ground transportation arrangements, and perform flight-following functions, coordinating the necessary services and resources to ensure the success of each flight.

Pilots

It has been said that the best safety device aboard an aircraft is a well-trained pilot. We attribute our superb safety record to our commitment to professional and thorough pilot training. Our highly experienced crew members receive recurrent proficiency training every six months and recurrent emergency procedures training at Simuflite International, Inc., every 12 months. All of our pilots receive company specific Baker Aviation training. Get to know our pilots.

Pilot Services

Baker Aviation will recruit and select a flight crew for your aircraft. All flight crews will be comprised of fully qualified, professionally trained pilots, who will be available each day the aircraft is in service. The aircraft owner is responsible for paying a fixed monthly Flight Crew Services charge that covers the salaries and benefits for the flight crew. Baker Aviation will retain full operational control of this flight crew as per FAA regulations.

Maintenance

Baker Aviation assumes responsibility for management and oversight of all maintenance performed on your aircraft. We represent your interest during all maintenance and modifications. We pay close attention to quality control and technical accuracy in full compliance with federal regulations and manufacturer's recommendations.

In an era of rapid change in the navigation and communications equipment required for worldwide operations, professional maintenance management has never been more important. Your aircraft records are reviewed initially by Baker Aviation's Director of Maintenance. A computer program is created to monitor all applicable time and cycle-limited maintenance operations. Your aircraft's maintenance status is constantly monitored to facilitate planning that will help minimize downtime and provide for greater productivity of your aircraft.

Baker Aviation's in-house maintenance staff is fully trained and FAA-certified to perform most scheduled and unscheduled inspections and repairs on all managed aircraft.

Whether aircraft maintenance is performed by Baker Aviation's own personnel or other qualified service centers, proper management of aircraft maintenance will avoid unnecessary expenditures and protect the value of your aircraft.

Cleaning

Continuous maintenance of your aircraft's interior and exterior is an important factor in preserving and maximizing the life of its interior furnishings and painted surfaces. As part of our maintenance management services, your aircraft's interior and exterior will be cleaned and detailed after each flight to achieve ongoing readiness for service.

Administration

Your aircraft represents a substantial investment in capital equipment requiring careful administration to help maintain its viability. Baker Aviation's administrative staff is responsible for maintaining thorough aircraft operating records including monthly activity reports and expense summaries plus annual budget reports.

Activity Reports

An activity report is compiled monthly listing each flight taken in your aircraft. The date of flight, type of flight, and total flight time is recorded from the flight reports. If you place your aircraft in Baker Aviation's charter program, the activity report would also list the revenues generated from all charter operations of your aircraft by flight, total for the month, and year to date.

Expense Summary

As manager of your aircraft, Baker Aviation makes payment for all aircraft expenses to the individual vendors and suppliers. These expenses are then compiled in a monthly expense summary, and a single detailed statement is sent to the aircraft owner for payment. The expense summary statement of fixed and variable expenses provides an accurate accounting of the cost of operating your aircraft on a monthly and year-to-date basis.

Activity Reports and Expense Summaries are the tools used to monitor the productivity and operating costs of your aircraft. These documents are essential to good management and allow for an ongoing comparison of actual revenues and expenses with budgeted amounts.

At the end of each fiscal year, a budget report will be prepared to compare the financial performance of your aircraft with established budgets and projections. At a convenient time, Baker Aviation's Director of Operations will meet with you to review the year-end compilation of revenues and expenses and provide a report on the status of your aircraft. The goal of this record keeping is to provide you with true and accurate information with which to evaluate the productivity of your aircraft and the effectiveness of Baker Aviation's management program.

Fleet Discounts

When you become part of Baker Aviation's Fleet Management operation, you will benefit from collective purchases of various materials and services. Baker Aviation is able to offer fleet insurance rates, fuel pricing, and maintenance labor rates that are significantly less than those offered to an individual owner.

Charter Revenue

The ability to offer increased utilization of your aircraft through charter operations is an important part of the Baker Aviation Fleet Management program. This revenue-producing activity will have a significant effect on the overall cost of operating your aircraft.

Baker Aviation currently operates in the network of nation's largest aircraft charter fleet. In having a preferred operator's relationship with a number of the leading regional charter operators, we are able to maximize the charter potential of each owner's aircraft. Baker Aviation currently maintains a national database of known users of private jet services in the United States consisting of leading companies in the fields of entertainment, real estate, finance, high technology, medical services, and aerospace.

The Baker Aviation charter program features a variety of fuel programs and discounted rates to the aircraft owners. These programs and discounts from contract fuel providers shelter you from the volatility of the fuel market and insure you of a reliable revenue stream.

The aircraft owner is responsible for reimbursing Baker Aviation for all maintenance and fixed costs including: insurance, general administrative costs, pilot services, fuel reimbursements, and hangar fees. Baker Aviation is responsible for credit management and other incidental expenses associated with charter flights.
